Why did you develop the URL Routine Trigger?
Answer
Previously, we created the Virtual Routine Trigger for an irrigation system in a smart home environment. People quite liked it, but a user on Reddit pointed out, that it would be great to have a link for launching an Alexa routine. Therefore we created a second, slightly modified version of the Virtual Routine Trigger.
Et voilà – the URL Routine Trigger was born. No we have a trigger for Alexa routine that can flexibly be called with a URL.
