Why are there several URLs for each trigger?

Answer

Each of the URLs has the same functionality. When you open a URL, the trigger will be activated, i.e., the doorbell smart home device in the Alexa environment will be pressed and will get the status pressed in Alexa.

The difference between the links is the (visual) output they will produce:

• One link will produce HTML output that is easy to read in a web browser.
• One link will produce HTML output that is easy to read on a smartphone.
• Other links will produce XML and JSON output that is easier to be processed in scripts or other software products.
• You can also choose not to be displayed a result page, but to be redirected to any other URL.
