How can I disable the Alexa doorbell sound?

Answer

When you create a new Virtual Routine Trigger, it will be added as a doorbell device in your Alexa environment. Alexa's standard setting may have doorbell notifications enabled. I.e., whenever you activate your trigger, Alexa will play a doorbell sound.

You can change this setting in the Alexa app on your smartphone:

1. Open the Alexa app and navigate to the “Devices“ tab.
2. Choose the Virtual Routine Trigger for which you would like to change the setting.
   
3. Open the device details and navigate to the notifications section.
   
4. Now, disable the doorbell notification and save the settings.
